After spending a few hours this weekend adding a header to Brianlinton.com I updated the about page with more personal information about my personal life and how I came to be who I am today.
It is a slightly long About Page now, but it will hopefully allow readers to approach my articles knowing more about me and my background.

Hi Brian,
I know a lot of time and effort went into your about page, in my opinion however, it is too long. Have you considered making either a video or a short series of videos instead of all the text? In order to incorporate the text, you could add bullet points or a short summary.

I completely agree with you….the about page is very long, and probably too long. As I wrote it, I knew that would be the case, however, I am looking to transition this website into a more personal approach to myself and my entrepreneurial endeavor…and felt like a longer about page would be pertinent to accomplishing this. At the same time, however, I must understand that this is not always going to be what visitors to the site (especially first time visitors) want to see when they click on ‘about’… So I’m gonna take you up on your advice and add a bullet point summary or maybe a video to summarize things in the next week.
